Honorary and Memorial Donations

Donate money in someone’s honor or memory and the library will select an appropriate title within a suggested interest area. We will send you an acknowledgement of your gift.

Milestone Gifts

Commemorate the milestones in the lives of people you hold dear. Milestone gifts may be made for any special occasion including births, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations or any cherished event. Gifts in memory of loved ones are wonderful and appropriate tributes. Your gift of $100 or more will ensure the gift of a special collection of books, a film series or educational audio books. Your gift will be affixed with a bookplate and the Library will send acknowledgment both to you and to the honoree or family of the person memorialized.

Planned Giving

Leave a legacy of giving. Consider naming the library as a beneficiary in your estate planning to support the Tuscaloosa Public Library. This allows you to help ensure that our Library will continue to inspire the lifelong love of reading, provide access to quality and varied collections, enriching programs, and leading-edge technology.

Restricted Gifts and Bequests

The library has a number of funds from which the income is used for specific library purposes. Gifts for the purchase of equipment are also received from individuals or community groups.
